What you didn’t know about low-voltage LED lights

They are often mentioned in landscape lighting. Low voltage lighting technology was originally developed for the safety of outdoor and landscape lighting. Now it is used indoors and works using a low-voltage LED driver inside the luminaire connected to the main power supply.

Low-voltage LED lamps have 4 undeniable advantages:

1. Security

Low-voltage lighting is safe to use due to the low voltage that is used in the electrical connection of the fixtures.

Low voltage eliminates the risk of serious electric shock and also ensures safe installation of outdoor lighting under the influence of rain and moisture.

2. Versatility and reliability

Low voltage means that fixtures can be smaller retaining the original power, and the lighting design can match any ideas of designers.

3. Service life

The use of a low-voltage power supply reduces the probability of overheating the lamp and prolongs its life.

4. Management

Low-voltage lighting makes it possible to control the intensity of lighting with dimmers. Stand-alone units for 220V control are also available, but are much more expensive, large in size, require a separate cable and have limited capabilities.
